We are excited to welcome James Maguire, MD to Ortho Med Long Island, bringing specialized orthopedic and sports medicine expertise to our growing practice and the Long Island community.
Dr. Maguire joins Ortho Med Long Island with extensive training in orthopedic surgery and specialized fellowship training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at Union Memorial Sports Medicine/MedStar. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine before completing his orthopedic surgery residency and pursuing additional training in sports medicine.
His specialized sports medicine training allows Dr. Maguire to care for a wide range of orthopedic injuries and conditions affecting the bones, joints, muscles, and ligaments. While sports medicine is often associated with competitive athletes, this type of care can benefit anyone who wants to stay active and get back to the things they enjoy. Whether you’re an athlete recovering from an injury, a weekend golfer dealing with joint pain, or simply looking to move comfortably again, Dr. Maguire takes the time to understand each patient’s individual needs and goals.
